here aren't enough pieces to fill out this puzzle,

this jigsaw will never complete.

The corners and edges are all where they should be,
but inside it doesn't look right.

Outside it may look just as good as the next,
though it may not appear very neat.

Inside it is muddled, unmatched and with holes,
all-in-all it's a misserable sight.

Half-heartedly trying to substitute pieces,
with cardboard, with paper and clutter.

If you don't pay attention you'd probably think
that the picture is as it should be.

But if it were put under examination
the outcome would cause you to mutter.

'Cause the holes and the muddle, the flaws and mistakes
would be open for any to see.

This puzzle is pointless so why try complete it?
That's even assuming I could.

For all that I know, just to get this thing finished
I'd need bits from some other set.

But it's rare to find jigsaws which match this correctly,
they oft' make things worst 'stead of good.

So I'll leave it undone and away from the light,
so you can't see it's not finished yet.
